The center cores of this pool filter are reinforced with PVC to provide durability and to ensure that the cartridge does not crack or collapse. This compatible filter prevents harmful odors and water contamination through antimicrobial end caps specially treated to repel bacteria and mold. The support bands of theFilbur FC-3112 Replacement Fox Pools – F3-0880-2 are wider in construction in order to allow optimum water flow and to provide increased break-resistance. In addition, this pool filter cartridge features polyester media with sharp pleat folds that are very effective at capturing waterborne particles.
