The GE XWFE Refrigerator Water Filter is designed for select GE French door and side-by-side refrigerators. This refrigerator filter helps improve water quality by reducing chlorine and chloramines by using carbon filtration, ensuring cleaner and better-tasting water. It should be replaced every six months for ideal performance.
Note: GE has renamed the XWF, and it is now the XWFE. The XWFE replaces the XWF, includes an electronic chip and is compatible with all refrigerators using the XWF.
